The Earth Mother Speaks . . .

Today these sweeties were talking to me about life. They let me take some pictures of them as they were picking around the back yard.

I wish that the neighbor hadn't started shooting guns...

The ladies walked over to another place so they were safe from the guns.

Life around here has gone back to normal - like back to crunchiness. ;)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....Google

Even if Google is the second coming of the Gov't spy game...I love it. Still don't have a gMail account, but that's okay. :) I've loaded some of my fave feeds to load on my Google page.

For example, this is what made me smile today.

At heart...I am a pleonasmist. I enjoy superflous word usage. ;)

It is Spring!

Today I have the itch (again) to homestead our little two acres. I know what can be done on such a small piece of land (and still have room for playing and such). All I need is a few chickens, on Jersey cow and a small horse for the girls. It wouldn't take much work to get it homestead ready...

Then there is the part of me that likes the ease that modern culture gives us. We can get used to sedentary living pretty easily. We don't have to grow our own food anymore to survive - we just drive our car to the store and pick it up from the aisles.

Hmmm...

The Boy is growing by leaps and bounds. It is truly amazing how much they grow in the first year. The things they can do already - the life they set out to live starts...

I've started a group/org/company thing called MamasInNeed. I'll post more about it here over the next few weeks. In fact, I'll post more often. :)

House Fire

Just droppin' in.

Last week we had a small house fire. All are okay - house is okay. Loads of damage, but it can be repaired.

Some days I feel like Job...

Other days I am very thankful for this blessing...

Either way, I'm ready for a vacation ;)
